Efterklang at London's Barbican Concert Hall - Oct 5th!

October 5th 2024 we will return to the amazing concert hall at the Barbican Centre in London. This will be our fifth visit and we plan on making it extra special this time. We will be celebrating the release of new music as well as marking the 20-year anniversary.

The concert hall at the Barbican Centre is one of our absolute favourite venues to play. It has given us some of our very best concert memories.

  • In 2009 we presented Performing Parades together with Britten Sinfonia.

  • In 2012 we presented The Piramida Concert together with Northern Sinfonia.

  • In 2016 Efterklang & The Happy Hopeless Orchestra performed the opera Leaves, The Colour of Falling.

  • In 2020, just a few days before the lockdown, our Altid Sammen tour took us back again.

  • In 2024 we will be celebrating the release of new music in Barbican’s iconic concert hall.

The Barbican’s concert announcement:

A joyous journey through Efterklang's flourishing catalogue as the dazzling Danish band return to the Hall for the fifth time to celebrate the release of new music and their 20th anniversary.

After their euphoric last performance in the Hall, Efterklang return to celebrate the release of new music. And, with a reputation as one of the most engaging live bands this is not one to be missed.

Expect a transforming journey through brand new music and timeless classics with one of the most charming live-bands on the planet. The ever-exploring Danish band has been releasing acclaimed albums since 2004, and ingeniously weave together elements from pop, indie-rock, post-rock, and electronic music.

Efterklang has a special gift for creating concert experiences that are inclusive and inspiring as well as experimental and highly ambitious. The three childhood friends and founding band members (Mads Brauer, Casper Clausen, Rasmus Stolberg) will invite a strong line-up of musicians to join them on stage.
