Saturday June 15th 2024 - SOLD OUT

Join us in the charming Swedish village of Loshult for the fourth edition of Efterklangs Sommertræf – a day filled with music, socialising, great food, surprises, and the beauty of nature.

Only a short 2-hour train ride from Copenhagen airport, Loshult is a hidden gem known for its welcoming atmosphere. The 2024 edition is brought to you in collaboration with the wonderful Salli & Raphael from Loshult Handelsbod.

Previous Sommertræf editions (2021, 2022, 2023) have left us with precious memories, and we're confident that 2024 will be just as unforgettable. Don't miss out on the magic of Loshult and its hospitable community. See you there!

During a week-long residency in Loshult, we will be experimenting and preparing for a final day full of surprises and musical adventures.

On the last day of the residency (June 15th) we will open the doors to a very limited number of guests (160) for what we plan to be a lovely and quite epic summer gathering with communal dinner, plenty of live music, activities and friendly and festive socialising.

As is tradition, we’ve invited some lovely and amazing artists to be our guests during the week!

GUESTS
* Finnish Drummer, artist and our dear friend Tatu Rönkkö (of Liima)!
* Guatemalan composer, cello player and singer Mabe Fratti (who just released a new single)!
* Venezuelan guitarist, composer and producer Hector Tosta (who is one half of Titanic)!

The three above have all been part of making the upcoming Efterklang album ‘Things We Have In Common’!

We have also invited:

* Composer, singer, and viola player Mika Persdotter, also known as Mika Akim. From Sweden, based in Copenhagen. You might know her from the classical ensembles Damkapellet or Halvcirkel or from her more folk-oriented solo albums. We highly recommend listening to her album entitled ‘Tilsammans’.

* Woodwind musician, singer and composer Carolyn Goodwin. From Ireland, based in Copenhagen. Among many amazing projects Carolyn leads the Copenhagen Clarinet Choir ensemble. Take a listen to their album here.

* Loshult Handelsbod has invited the local and festive DJ duo Calvin Girls. You can check out one of their playlists covering northern soul, rockabilly and much more here.

FOOD
You are in for a treat! Food will be made in a close collaboration between chef Jula Ambroziewicz and local regenerative agriculture farmer Olivia and chef Camille Rohn from Swiss restaurant Aplati.

Why do we organise this lovely sommertræf?

  • We do it to experiment and further develop the sound and music of our band. We use the sommertræf meet-ups for working on new music as well as reinterpreting existing material.

  • To collaborate and make even better friends with the invited musicians/guests.

  • To share new music, thoughts and ideas in an open-minded setting with members of our wonderful audience.

  • Our ambition is for everyone (ourselves included) to leave the sommertræf inspired and with new ideas and friends.
