Efterklangs Sommertræf - 2024
The fourth edition!

June 10th 2024 we (Mads, Casper & Rasmus) traveled to Loshult in Sweden for a week long residency and the fourth edition of Efterklangs Sommertræf which for the second time was organised in collaboration with the amazing team behind Loshult Handelsbod.
A few months before the Sommertræf, we had finished our seventh studio album, Things We Have in Common, and we had decided to spend the week in Loshult figuring out how to play the new songs live before the tour started later in 2024.
Tatu Rönkkö, Mabe Fratti and Hector Tosta all played vital roles in recording the new album, and we were lucky to have them with us for the entire week in Loshult! Later in the week Mika Persdotter, Carolyn Goodwin and Misia Bienko also joined adding amazing strings, woodwinds and vocals.
On day 6 we opened the doors to 160 guests (more about the final day below).

When we weren’t playing music we went swimming, played cards and had amazing food cooked by our hosts from Loshult Handelsbod. It was a unique setting for catching up on so many shared memories.
On day 6 of the residency we opened the doors to 160 guests for a lovely summer gathering with communal dinner, concerts, a walk and friendly socialising.
Soon after everyone had arrived we gathered in Loshult Church for an opening wordless ceremony led by Casper which was followed by performances from Carolyn Goodwin, Mika Persdotter, Tatu Rönkkö and Efterklang.
Afterwards we walked to the Dance Pavillion in Loshult for a communal dance led by a local group of folk musicians.

Then we had a wonderful dinner which was created in a lovely collaboration between chef Jula Ambroziewicz, local regenerative agriculture farmer Olivia and chef Camille Rohn from Swiss restaurant Aplati. There were so many nice helpers from the Loshult community and Handelsbod team involved as well.

Then it was time for two more concerts. First Titanic (Mabe Fratti + Hector Tosta) took the stage and after that Efterklang performed a set with a heavy focus on the songs from Things We Have In Common.
We feel so incredible lucky and grateful for the Sommertræf and everyone who helps make it happen! It feels magical and intoxicating!
