On November 22, 2024, Efterklang performed an exclusive "SRF 3 Sounds! Showcase" on SRF's Live Stage in Zurich.

The Danish band is known for its versatility. Their debut album, Tripper, released 20 years ago, is characterized by somber post-rock. In contrast to their early days, the charming indie pop of their third album, Magic Chairs (2010), sounds unusually accessible, with the 2012 follow-up, Piramida, following a similar path. Over the past five years, Efterklang has once again delved more deeply into sonic experimentation, consistently pursuing their penchant for layered, dreamy, and almost hypnotic soundscapes.

Originally, the Danes were a quintet, but Rune Mølgaard left in 2007 to spend more time with his family—and with Mormonism. Nevertheless, he regularly contributed music and has since left the religious community. Without these clear structures, he was left questioning what connects people beyond religion, which inspired the concept for their recently released seventh studio album, Things We Have in Common.
