New song out "Getting Reminders" and New Tour announced!

28 concerts announced today (get tickets) + new single ‘Getting Reminders’ ft. Zach Condon from Beirut on Trumpet!

The song is out now on all platforms and there is a new video as well directed by Søren Lynggaard and Casper in collaboration.

With the single release today we also announce a long European Tour for the fall of 2024 and winter of 2025. Tickets are on sale now.

“Getting Reminders” is released alongside the world premiere of new documentary “Efterklang: The Makedonium Band” by Andreas Johnsen. The film is screening at CPH:DOX film festival this week and will travel to other festivals around the world in 2024. Watch the trailer below.

The new documentary features a prominent role for "Getting Reminders”. The song is performed live for a very attentive security guard in a shopping centre and, later on, also for the President of North Macedonia.

The song is not like most Efterklang songs. It takes a minimal approach and is build around Casper and his guitar.

Casper says: "To me, ‘Getting Reminders’ is a flash of light, a domino effect of feelings from a simple reminder, like a photo, a word, or when we encounter love, that suddenly sets our minds free. In reality, I feel a dark and highly politicised force tearing us apart, across land and culture. I feel like reminding myself that there’s a landscape that lives beyond and between us all, where we are free to cross and meet one another.”
