Listen to our new song: 'Sentiment'
Today, 17 days before our new album drops, and on Rasmus’s birthday, we’re excited and proud to share our new song, ‘Sentiment’. It was the last song we wrote for the album, and it's a special one for us. The lyric 'everything revolves around love' anchors the song, and it feels like the perfect conclusion to the journey we’ve shared with Rune Mølgaard in writing this album together.
The new single comes with a music video directed and filmed by Lisaboa Houbrechts and Casper, who also appears in the video. It was filmed on the roof of laGeste in Ghent and features dancer Oumar Dicko, with editing by Kenneth Sarup.
With the annoucement today we have also revealed two concerts in Spain! April 2nd 2025 we’ll return to Barcelona for the first time in many years and April 3rd we’ll return to the amazing Teatro Lara. in Madrid. All tour dates can be found here.
Our new album Things We Have In Common is released September 27th on City Slang Records. You can pre-order it and get tickets for the tour below.
During the creation of Things We Have in Common, we embarked on several week-long residencies in different locations to immerse ourselves in the music-making process. One of these residencies took place in Esbjerg, the westernmost town in Denmark, renowned as the city of fishers.
It was there, amidst the industrial surroundings of garages and workshops, that 'Sentiment' was born. Together with Rune Mølgaard and Tatu Rönkkö, we recorded early versions of several songs for the album in a local studio. Towards the end of our time there, a spontaneous idea emerged. It began with a simple piano and guitar riff, gradually evolving into a full-band collaboration. Within about 30 minutes, we had structured the song and recorded the majority of the song - it felt like magic.
