New Concerts Announced with South Denmark Girls Choir - April 2022

We are super happy 😁 to announce three new concerts with South Denmark Girls Choir (Sønderjysk Pigekor) 👩‍🎤❤️🎉 The joint concerts are part of our ongoing collaboration with the choir and tickets are on sale as of today!

The choir (and the tour) is based in Sønderborg in Sønderjylland (the southern part of Denmark) where all three of us grew up and we feel so lucky to be able to work with them in this continuous way. The ambition is to develop a new collaborative concert format founded on Efterklang songs, songs from the choir’s usual repertoire as well as jointly created material. There is an underlying goal from Efterklang and choir leader Mette Rasmussen to include the members of the choir in the creation process and to inspire and support them becoming creating artists themselves. We have collaborated with the choir on and off for more than a decade. They are featured on our Piramida album (2012) and also in The Last Concert (2014) and on the Lyset EP (2019). In the last two years we have performed together on stage many times and we are excited about building on this collaboration and the music we create together.
