Altid Sammen – 1 year old

Today it is 1 year and 1 day since we released our fifth album ‘Altid Sammen'.

What a crazy year it has been! The first 6 months were full of highs. This day a year ago we premiered the full album in Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie together with the B.O.X ensemble (a performance you can watch via the video posted below). Afterwards a string of great concerts followed. The two concerts in Koncerthuset in Copenhagen were special and same week we had the pleasure of performing at the great Le Guess Who? festival. We also got to visit Mexico finally – what a great trip that was!

February and March we toured Europe with our 7-piece live band. It was one of our best tours ever. We love the musicians in our live band, our great crew and we love all you sweet people who listen and come to the shows! We are grateful that we can make and release albums and that we can tour like this! We also feel very lucky that we managed to complete this tour (just had to cancel the last two shows) before Europe and most of the world went into Corona lock down.

The next 6 months have of course been heavily influenced by the covid-19 pandemic. Lots of shows were cancelled, our daily lives suddenly changed drastically and a lot of uncertainty followed and is still with us all. Some weeks into the lock down we turned to creating. There weren’t many other options and to our joy a lot of ideas emerged. We’ve been working on a lot of new songs in the studio over the summer and still are. It feels very exciting. We hope that once we are ready to share these new songs that the world will be in a better place. This goes for the pandemic, but we also hope for a greener world and a more fair world where politics will be about creating a better future for everyone.
