The video is for Modern Drift and it is made by our good friend Kristian Leth (www.speedofsound.dk). It is based on Dyrehaven, den Romantiske Skov, a film from 1970 by artists Per Kirkeby and Jørgen Leth (Kristian’s father). The film geek will know that our album title Magic Chairs draws on inspiration from another film by Jørgen Leth.

The CD/DVD and LP/DVD features the complete performance with The Danish National Chamber Orchestra in audio format + a 55-minute concert film directed by Benjamin Hesselholdt. For those of you who haven’t heard it yet, we’re Performing Parades with the Britten Sinfonia on October 28th in Barbican Hall in London, UK. The splendid Norwegian collective Jaga Jazzist have been named as support for the concert in a very rare UK performance, so this looks like an extremely exciting evening!

Also, we’re doing a month long tour of “regular” shows after the London date around the UK, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Turkey (yep, we finally making our way to Istanbul!) previewing tracks from our third studio album, to be released by 4AD next year. Thanks to everybody that came out to see us play. In total we did 27 concerts including 4 concerts at SXSW in Austin, Texas. We have played a lot of new songs on this tour and we look forward to record them soon – thanks for welcoming the new songs so kindly.

We would also like to send a special thanks to Heather Broderick, Peter Broderick and Daniel James aka Canon Blue for being in our live-band for this tour. You guys are incredible musicians and persons – THANKS!

Also, we want to send out a big thanks to the incredible audience at An Club, Athens, GR, for giving us such a nice “last show of the year”, despite of the horrible thing happening just outside!

We’ll start looking into new songs now and prepare ourself for future adventures, so for the next months and during the winter we’ll stay at home in Copenhagen and empty our heads.
