The single and b-side will also be available digitally. In Scandinavia you can already get the single via iTunes and similar shops.

Simon Taffe (the man behind one of the best music festivals on this planet: End of The Road) did the new video for I Was Playing Drums together with Joseph Brett and Glenn Taunton. We start our European tour in Olso on Monday April 5th and we would like to use this post to shine a light on some of the different bands that will be supporting us on this 31 concert long tour.

Lets start with one of our absolute favorite new Danish bands! They are called The Late Great Fitzcarraldos (http://myspace.com/thelategreatfitzcarraldos) and they will support our Danish tour (+ Gothenburg). They are incredible and we can´t wait to play live with them.

We have a list of wonderful names playing with us over the next 6 weeks on our European Tour. Our piano player Heather Woods Broderick (myspace.com/woodsmusical) has a superb solo album out and she will be supporting the majority of the concerts.

On some occasions, like the tour start in Oslo, our guitarist Frederik Teige will be the support act. Frederik recently finished his solo album and it is powerful and beautiful – do check him out here: myspace.com/frederikteige.

Last year March 2009 Efterklang toured the US road testing songs for our Magic Chairs album. Our good friend and Danish music journalist Ralf Christensen followed us around the last week of the tour and managed to capture us performing our song The Soft Beating in a about a 100 different ways. You can see his wonderful edit of all these performances in this new video.

This Tuesday (March 2nd) we start our North American Tour in Philadelphia. We are super excited about this, but we got a rough start to this new adventure.

First off, Balmorhea (our support band for the North American tour) had to cancel all their concerts due to a family emergency.

On top of that our dear Peter Broderick (who plays violin and much more in our live band) also had to cancel this tour, due to a knee surgery that isn´t healing properly. We will miss Peter a lot and hope he will recover soon – send him and Balmorhea som love.

NORTH AMERICAN TOUR!!
Despite the sad news we have decided to play this tour and we are eager to play for you all! We have been waiting a long time for Magic Chairs to be released and we hope and believe the tour will be great! For now we will perform as a 6-piece and then hopefully Peter will be able to return soon.

New support bands have been announced for all dates and we will hook up with good friends like Sam Amidon and Volcano! along the way.

We are very happy about this session. We filmed in VEGA our favorite venue in our favorite hometown Copenhagen. We recorded 4 songs live on the floor of Store VEGA (their biggest concert hall). We formed a circle and it was a special feeling playing in the nice room just for ourselves.

We play in this same room April 17th, when our Magic Chairs tour swings by Copenhagen.
