When Thomas turned 30 on July 11th we played in Bracknell, England at the Fringe Festival.

In the outro of Caravan we started singing Happy Birthday to You and soon the crowd sang with us for Thomas. The photo below is taken by Adrian Holden exactly at the moment when a very happy and surprised Thomas came forward to the stage and received his honor!

Look how happy he is! it is good to turn 30!

yesterday we arrived at the airport in Barcelona and when we stepped out of the gate we were very lucky to catch the last km of Carlos Sastrés time trial. To our joy and surprise we saw that he had defended his yellow jersey!

Today when Carlos will be celebrated as the winner of Tour de France 2008 we are in Zaragoza, Spain the home country of Carlos. Im sure that when we play tonight at the EXPO 2008 we will give Carlos a shout out!

come by LAB tonight! Erik Levander will play live at 21:00 and we will celebrate his new release Kondens on Rumraket. The official release date is March 17 - so this is a good opportunity to get the album a week before release date!

March 6th 2003 we played our very first concert as Efterklang. It was in Copenhagen at Huset I Magstræde and in order to get the job we had to rent the venue and organize and promote the gig ourselves. To make it a special night we invited a 36 piece brass band (which Thomas used to play in) to share the bill with us - it was a great evening indeed!

Today will be also be a special day for Efterklang. We are playing in Sønderborg in the southern part of Denmark. This is where Mads, Casper and me (Rasmus) grew up and where we our parents still live - we look forward to play for them and hopefully a lot of their grey haired friends so we can celebrate with style! It will be our debut in Sønderborg!

In order to mark this special day for us we are giving away a completely new song entitled Mirror Mirror. It is a live recording from the Nordklang festival in St. Gallen Switzerland - we played there February the 16th in a former erotic cinema!

We won our first 3 awards! YAY! Steppeulven is an annual award show arranged by the music critics in Denmark. We won Best Album, Best Group and Best Composers!

We were not there to receive the prices as we are touring these days (see below) - so all our parents accepted the prices on our behalf! Thank you moms and dads! Also thank you to all the Danish critics for liking our music!

yesterday we got nominated for 5 Danish Music Awards! And the day before we were announced to play this years Roskilde Festival!

When we play at Roskilde in July it will be our second time there and we look so much forward to it. That festival is a very special one - a highlight of the year.

When we attend the Danish Music Awards show in February it will our very first time, and to be honest we had never expected to be invited to such a party. It is equivalent to the American Grammys but much smaller in scale of course. We were maybe hoping that our Mirador video would be nominated - but 5 total that is completely crazy. The categories are Best album, best group, best electronica album, best artwork and best video.

This is just a quick post to inform you that tomorrow Casper and Rasmus will DJ at Karrierebar in Den Hvide Kødby central of Copenhagen. Klub Revolver will rise again after years of silence. Besides us spinning our favorite records you can among many things also enjoy Lykke Li playing live, we like her a lot.

Entrance is free and it will be fun! We will be on at 20:00 already.

Our Mirador video has now been watched more than half a million times on youtube. Thats more than we could have ever dreamed about!

A lot of people have let us know that they adore the video! Then a few people think the video is gay, some think we eat to many mushrooms and then some think the video is a copy of Yellow Submarine by The Beatles.

What can we say. All of us love gays and mushrooms (mostly the non-hallucinating kind) and all of us love The Beatles. Especially we love Nan Na from Hvass&Hannibal and Kasper from UFEX for making the great video! We think it is a work of art.
