Just quickly wanted to say thanks to Holland Festival for inviting us to their incredible festival. We got to do a Performing Parades concert with Metropole Orkest conducted by Vince Mendoza and we had such a good time. Thanks again to all involved!

After that trip we can now forgive Holland for beating Denmark 2:0 in the World Cup!

More free remixes to offer! And this time also a nice video to celebrate summer and this new remix swap. Oh No Ono is a superb band and we were happy not only to do a remix swap but also to jump in the cold Danish water with them!

The remix they have made for Modern Drift was done in their tour bus in one day on a drive from Cologne to Paris! We copied that idea, but it took us many many kilometers before we nailed our remix of their Icicles song.

Efter Weekend maybe?

In our recent newsletter we promised you that we would air a lot of new remixes soon. Today is first day of soon! Efterklang & Turboweekend are two very different bands, but we also have a lot of things in common. We both hail from Copenhagen, we both work closely with Hvass&Hannibal and Morten and Rasmus are even squash buddies!

Recently we have been working on a remix swap with Turboweekend and today we are ready to present these remixes for you. They are both available for free download. Enjoy!

This is only the second official Efterklang remix ever! The first one we did was for Grizzly Bear back in 2005. The last artist to remix Turboweekend was DJ/rock star Tiësto -and yes we also follow him on Twitter and are intrigued by this DJ phenomena! It feels good to be the follow up to a Tiësto remix! hehe

First of all thanks to everyone who came out to this year’s concerts so far. We had two really good tours around North America and Europe and just now we are taking a short break before our summer tour starts on June 19th.

The upcoming summer tour holds 23 new Efterklang concerts and we look forward to all of them, but some of them makes us really excited! For example the two Performing Parades concerts in Amsterdam and Stockholm (more info here). We are also excited about our concert in Northern Norway north of the Arctic Circle in the midnight sun! Playing with Grizzly Bear in Hyde Park in London will also be special and then there are all the really great festivals. Roskilde, Benicassim, Green Man, Off, Haldern Pop and many more! For the Traumzeit Festival in Duisburg we will be playing live with a local fraction of the Efterkids project which will be fun as well.
