The Soft Beating – A Road Doc
March 10th, 2010 by rasmusLast year March 2009 Efterklang toured the US road testing songs for our Magic Chairs album. Our good friend and Danish music journalist Ralf Christensen followed us around the last week of the tour and managed to capture us performing our song The Soft Beating in a about a 100 different ways. You can see his wonderful edit of all these performances in this new video.
As Im sure you know already we are in fact also touring the US right now. Concerts can be found here: www.efterklang.net/home/concerts
Also in case you haven’t seen our 4AD Session yet, then here is a second chance. We are very proud of this one.
GREETINGS FROM NORTH DAKOTA!

I love how free and unencumbered you seem. your work is deep and nuanced and subtle–but to see this vid reminds one that the soul of Efterklang is young and sweet and unfettered…

The video is heartwarming, as was your performance in Portland on Saturday. It will be days and weeks before the smile you lot put on my face disappears. Thank you! Special thanks to Casper and Rasmus for chatting with us while selling merch. Deeply appreciate your music and the way you present it and yourselves to the world. I will gladly keep supporting all your endeavors if you continue to find such joy in them – for that joy is palpable and wonderfully infectious. Safe travels on the rest of the tour!

Saw you at Spaceland in LA tonight. I’ve been a huge fan for ages, and tonight you were brilliant. I’m speechless and have a completely stupid smile still plastered to my face. Just wanted to say you’re always welcome in LA… myself and many others will be happy to treat you all to a day at Disneyland when you’re back for a whole weekend! I think I managed to get a smile out of almost each of you on stage tonight so I’ll never forget it. Fabulous show, keep on killin us. All the love
