New Video and SCANDINAVIAN TOUR!

January 26th, 2010 by rasmus

As promised - we have good news for you!
We have just announced our Scandinavian Tour dates and we have a new video to show you!

The video is for Modern Drift and it is made by our good friend Kristian Leth (www.speedofsound.dk). It is based on Dyrehaven, den Romantiske Skov, a film from 1970 by artists Per Kirkeby and Jørgen Leth (Kristian’s father). Dear Efterklang,
    I am a Canadian art student on exchange in Helsinki. I have to admit initial homesickness and despair at what felt like banishment to the cold white north.

    Of course, we are adaptable creatures, and I have learned to take pleasure in the simple things of my surroundings: the windswept snow, ice skating in the dusk, collaborative dinners with new friends. The only thing that was missing, and that I desperately sought, was new and exciting music.

    And lo, I found you! Not since The Arcade Fire or Patrick Watson, Bon Iver or Sufjan Stevens have I had this sort of feeling of “Yes. We’re going to be all right.”

    THANK YOU! I can’t wait for your show in Helsinki.

    Hearts, minds, and windswept snow;
    Emma

  5. Rasmus Says:

    hey Emma - thanks for that sweet message. We are happy to bring some warmth to Finland. Can we also suggest you try their sauna and roll around in the snow?
    that will make you forget about being homesick!

    best
    Rasmus
