No love for the north of England :(

I know we’ve been spoiled recently with the rowdy Halloween special in Manchester (you can see me in the middle of that photo!) and Performing Parades in Leeds, but come again, please, we love you guys! (and who needs a day off on the 26th anyway…)

  8. ew Says:

I don’t know how these things work… who manage the tour or whatever… but it is so sad to see that Portugal is never on the list… let’s pray! let’s pray! eheheh

  9. daniel Says:

Perhaps Efterklang should just invest in a magic band cloning device — then they could play everywhere!

  10. Dave Says:

Awesome! So who will be a part of the US tour? See you in Chicago!

  11. Rasmus Says:

the US lineup is yours truly (Mads, Casper, Thomas and Rasmus) and then with the addition of Heather W. Broderick, her brother Peter Broderick and long time friend Frederik Teige.

And Ew – we are working on Portugal
    hang in there

  12. leonardo Says:

hi, im not happy with the new direction of the band, cmon casper, u guys did genious masterpieces untill now, and will go for the pop direction of music? i know there are still older elements (im only based my opinion on the new song), but, cmon, wtf is that? the feeling on it is pretty much ZERO if u compare to the feelings and atmosphere of the older songs, cmon, HOW CAN YOU THROW AWAY THIS? (lol, im not yelling, just kidding with the caps…)

anyway, i know that bands should’t keep doing the same thing, but, there are WAY more differente directions you guys could take than this…

seriously, do art, don’t do music to please these humans, DO ART.

  13. Dirk Says:

Leonardo: Oh my god. How can you really demand “Do Art”? Is it art for you, when the music is as far as possible from the mainstream pop music? Do you like efterklang because no one of your friends is listening to that kind of music? Sound like that. Correct me if I am wrong.

By the way: I like the new direction I heard in this new song. Another full album recording that would sound like the last ones would be very boring. So this sounds very fresh and not too much overloaded like some older recordings. I hope the album will be like that. More “naked” efterklang.

  14. kevin Says:

no washington, dc on the US agenda…? shucks.

  15. jana Says:

hope we will see you guys in berlin. Both thumbs up!

  16. RolandDeschain Says:

    Barca??? Do you mean Barcelona???

I think that you’re thinking in ‘barça’ that is the common of the soccer team of the city (Futbol club Barcelona) but the city never is called by this name!!

    I’ll see you in barcelona!!!

  17. rasmus Says:

    sorry about that Roland!
    I have corrected now :-)

    Rasmus / Efterklang

  18. RolandDeschain Says:

Please, don’t sorry!!! It was funny!!

    Thanks!!

  19. Eric Says:

Please come back to DC, or Baltimore or something. Your show at DC9 last year was a joyous, life-affirming, totally kick ass experience for myself and my friends. Please come back. I may try to make it to Philly, but please play DC or BMore. There is much love for you here.

P.S. To leonardo. They can play whatever they want. You say “Do Art”. But what is Art? If you have seen these folks live, it is clear that they are authentic, heartfelt and expressive musicians, which is so rare in this world. Commercial pop and intellectual art are dominated by mediocrity anyway, so its kind of poor form to talk shit about those few that rise above the multitude.

    Just a thought.
