Efterklang in Prague today!! Midnight Sun Festival

June 28th, 2008 by rasmus

We are playing in Prague today! If you are around come by!

It will be a special show as it will be our first concert ever as an 6 piece band. After playing about 150 concerts as an 8 piece band we look forward to try this out and we have been rehearsing all week to make it perfect!

Anna is on vacation this week so Peters sister Heather Woods Broderick is sitting in on piano, vocal and flute. Besides Heather the band will be Mads, Casper, Thomas, Rasmus and Peter.

Also worth mentioning is that the set-list for tonights concert will include two songs from Springer our debut mini-album from 2003. We will play Bright and Kloy Gyn. We haven´t played those songs in 3 and 5 years!

We are on at 9:45pm. You can read more about the Midnight Sun Festival right here

    Hi Efterklang!

I was so glad to hear you live on Saturday! I am an Efterklang listener for three years and now I can finally imagine some faces behind the music.

Your performance on Midnight Sun Festival was unforgettable - I was taken with how you managed to sound that great even as a six-piece band (and I got two smashed up drumsticks and a handwritten setlist as a souvenir :-) ). What I found most strucking in your Saturdays live performace was the pace at which the band was continually drifting, swapping instruments, changing positions and walking around the stage. It all looked so natural and flowing! The spirit of the moment was amazing thanks to your music and the setting of the stage (river, bonfire …) and we were glad you liked it too.

Influenced by the gig, my girlfriend and I made a decision to go to København on August 12th to see you perform once again! We are looking forward!
